Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Parker Eye Care the leading provider of vision care products and services in Cadiz.

S. Katie Parker, OD

I am Katie Parker, an optometrist in Trigg County.  I grew up right here in western Kentucky and graduated from Caldwell County High School.  I received a bachelor of science degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry from Western Kentucky University in 1992. I received a doctorate of optometry from The University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry in 1996 and have been in private practice since that time.  I am happy to be serving the people of Cadiz and Trigg County.

I live with my husband Ken, and my three children, Oliver, Karsyn, and Luke. We have 2 dogs, Jack and Ginger, and a cat named Esther.  We enjoy just about any sport and especially enjoy playing wiffle ball.

Kristen Waldrop

My name is Kristen Waldrop.  I am an alumni of Trigg County High School where I co-oped at Hospital Street Pharmacy.  There I learned to love working with the public and in the medical field.  I then attended Murray State University and began working at an ophthalmology office in Hopkinsville where I acquired the skills and enthusiasm that it takes to work in the diverse field of  eye care.  I am now excited to be working back in my hometown of Cadiz and I cannot wait to bring excellent service to the people in the Trigg County area.  I am excited to embark on this new adventure and to be a part of the Parker Eye Care Team.

Lisa Futrell

I grew up in Cadiz, Kentucky, and graduated from Trigg County High School in 1982.  I attended the University of Texas at Houston from 1982-1985, where I graduated as a Certified Surgical Technologist.  Shortly after college, I moved back to Trigg County and became certified as an Ophthalmic Assistant with a specialty in Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting.  I have been currently practicing in the Ophthalmology field for the past 20 years in various out of town locations.  I am married and have raised two children where I presently live in Trigg County.  I have recently joined Dr. Parker’s Team at Parker Eye Care, allowing me to fulfill my dream of serving my hometown community.
